A Steady Head Is Key to Improving a Golf Swing

There is little doubt that Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Ernie Els and Retief Goosen have great golf swings. All have won US Open Titles. Their swings have stood their tests in time. Jack Nicklaus gives much credit for his “rock steady head” to his first professional instructor, Jack Grout. Grout was frustrated with young Jack and his “bobbing head.” During one session, he grabbed Nicklaus firmly by his curly callaway diablo edge driver blonde hair, and had Jack hit balls for such a length of time that young Jack cried.
